Isaiah 52–53: Prophecies of Easter
Learn how the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was foretold in Isaiah 52–53.
“Oh, that’s the reason why He did it right there. To redeem us, to bring us back into [a] relationship with Him in peace, in wholeness, and in joy. That was the whole plan and purpose.”
How to Interpret the Parable of the Sower and the Seed
In this video examining the parable of the Sower and the Seed, Michael asks, “Why is it important to study the parable? In Mark 4:13, Jesus says ‘If you do not understand this parable (the parable of the Soils) how then will you understand all parables?’ So there’s something about the parable of the Sower that is a key that unlocks the mysteries within all the parables that Jesus told.”
Watch this video to learn how to view this parable from a different perspective, with the goal to understand the heart of God and what He is trying to convey through Jesus’ teaching in all the other parables.

A Call to Intimacy
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children. As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame. They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity. And it shall be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will requite them their doings. And they shall eat, and not have enough; they shall play the harlot, and shall not increase; because they have left off taking heed to Jehovah.” Hosea 4:6–9 (ASV)
“Wow, that’s an indictment, isn’t it? Talking, He is here, specifically to His people Israel, and his priests, the people that He has put in charge of handling the things of the Lord. And He’s not happy with either one in this set of Scriptures right here. And the reason I say that this kind of applies to this time frame? Because I dare you to turn on the news and listen to what’s coming out of your nation’s government. They’re not liking to hear what God has to say, very much like these people here. But what I’m going to tell you goes further than that. The indictment goes to the pulpits of America.”
Pastor JoAnn continues in this video on the need to return to God’s ways.
The Ten Virgins (The Return of the Lord)
Mark discusses the parable of The Ten Virgins and how Christians are to remain vigilant for the return of their Savior. “What happens if we’re not looking? What happens if we’re not sober, if we’re not vigilant? If we’re not prepared, what happens? You think you might get left behind? [I] think it’s a possibility.”
Where Is Your Focus?
Pastor JoAnn has recently received the warning from many friends and acquaintances: “Be careful you don’t take on too many things, that you’re not doing too many things.” This seems like a wise warning, but it can cause unnecessary fear and anxiety if one’s focus doesn’t remain on the Lord. Join JoAnn as she discusses the daily pressures of a busy Christian.
